Here you can see some success stories through the years
"Cathy is a wonderful resource for TNVR. Knowledge, caring, and reliable.
Years ago I started feeding several unsterilized community cats in my neighborhood, not realizing the consequences. Before I could control the population, along came COVID, which meant that spay and neutering services were suspended for a period of time. At one point, I had four litters around my home! Slowly but surely, I started to take the cats and kittens for TNVR or adoption at Peggy Adams. That’s when I met Cathy, who was always the first one there in the morning with five cats.
One of my very difficult-to-capture cats was a beautiful tabby named Boots. Boots brought me four litters over a couple of years, and thanks to Cathy, she was finally trapped and spayed. It was one of the happiest days of my life! Boots is still around and is healthier than ever.
TNVR is so important for multiple reasons. So, if you ever need help, Cathy is your person!"

"Our rescue group, Stray No More, Inc. enlisted Cathy’s services to trap some feral cats a colony that SNM has maintained for 7 years. Periodically, new cats appear, and it is a challenge to trap them! Cathy came over right away and spent literally HOURS in the parking lot there, waiting with her drop trap. Eventually, the cat(s) we wanted went under it and were safely contained. Cathy then had them spayed/neutered and vetted/ She held them at their home (a special favor) until I could get there to pick them up and return them to the mall, where they are still living. Cathy puts a great deal of her heart into her services and knows her craft well. I could not recommend her more highly! Thank you Cathy"

"Cathy did an amazing job helping me with a young feral mama cat and her 3 female kittens. Cathy provided 4 individual traps and transported this feral family to Peggy Adams. She then returned them to me 2 days later spayed, immunized & chipped where I am now in the process of socializing these sweet kitties. Cathy is a very conscientious and caring individual and I am fortunate to have made her acquaintance. Sincerely, "

“Cathy was extremely helpful to our organization, “Stray No More, Inc.”. We had a situation where we needed not only traps but a dop trap as well. The feral and semi-feral cats were safely trapped, Cathy transported them for TVNR, picked them up, and returned them the following day. She conducted herself in a professional, caring, manner, making sure the cats were treated with respect.”

"I wanted to take a minute to thank Cathy for helping me with a feral cat situation on my street. I would periodically see random cats here and there, and didn't think much of it because I know we have some community TNVR cats in the area, but suddenly noticed an increase in younger kittens. One morning I woke up and there were 3 kittens sleeping curled up on my front porch. I contacted Cathy, and she came right over with 3 traps. Within the hour we had caught 2 of them, but the 3rd proved to be a bit more difficult to trap. We left the trap out for a couple of days, with me refreshing the food every morning and evening. After the second day, Cathy contacted me to tell me the problem was actually much bigger than my 3 little kittens. Cathy was able to find out where the cats were coming from, and informed me that there were a total of 15 unsterilized cats in this colony! I am an animal lover, but nobody wants a ton of unvetted cats peeing and pooping all over their yard! Especially with pets of my own to worry about. Once she found the source of the problem, she addressed it very quickly. I think it only took 3 days for her to have all 15 cats trapped, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. A couple of the cats were too wild to be adopted out, so they are back in the area now (which is fine because I know they are now healthy and won't be breeding). The others she was able to get into a foster/adoption program so they will have loving homes of their own. Thank you Cathy for your efforts and all you do for the animals and ultimately to help the community!"

"Where do I start with Cathy!
We own a wedding venue in GA called Daughters Barn and we decided to move my 81 year old mother from our hometown in Lantana Fl. to our barn property after building her a house. My mother currently fed 13 cats all trap and release on her property back home. Her biggest concern was moving up here and how is she going to get her cats? I reached out to Cathy and she started the trapping process so the cats could be transported up to my moms new GA cat house we built her for the cats. It took Cathy about 4 days of trapping to get the cats my mom couldn’t pick up on her own. It was a huge relief for my mother to have them all and we couldn’t have done it without Cathy! One of the cats was a new one and Cathy took it up to Peggy Adams to get it fixed. We had a transport friend bring them to GA. She is amazing when it comes to trapping and the care of the cats she rescues. She has trapped so many cats in Lantana over the years on her own time and dime! She deserves a cat reward if there was such a thing."

"Cathy truly is the patron saint of Lantana's cats and dogs! Cathy is an extremely selfless individual. She spends tons of time, effort, energy and her own money trying to get the stray cats of Lantana a better life. Her Facebook page is loaded with the stories of the cats that she trapped in the middle of the night and brought down to Peggy Adams to get spayed or neutered. She tries to find homes for the tame cats and little kittens before they become feral. She often will take in cats or kittens as a foster home until she can find permanent homes. Cathy has found homes for kittens that require bottle feeding.
Cathy trapped at least fifteen cats at my place of business. By trapping the cats and having them fixed, Cathy has prevented probably hundreds of unwanted kittens at our business over several years. "

"Eight years ago I moved into my house. I quickly discovered there was a huge cat problem. One night while walking my dog I ran into Cathy. I told her about the problem next door and she said she would help me get everybody fixed. She came over with her traps and she caught 26 cats and kittens. She also convinced another neighbor to let her take their kitten to be fixed! Thank you Cathy for helping to end the endless cycle in our town!"

"I had a feral cat issue. I was given Cathy's number by a friend. Cathy was very knowledgeable regarding county & state laws regarding the trapping of feral cats. She was able to trap all the cats & kittens. She then took them to Peggy Adam's & County Animal Care and Control to be neutered. The cats are now safe & I am relieved of having a continuous problem of more kittens taking over my back yard. Thank you Cathy!"

Phoenix was found wandering through the ashes of a burned-out house in Lantana. Her humans were involved in a domestic dispute which resulted in her home being burned to the ground. Sadly, she was the only pet in the home that managed to escape and survive. As the days passed, neighbors heard her cries and began leaving food and water for her. Due to the traumatic experience she had been through, she didn’t quite trust them enough to allow them to touch her. In order to get proper help for her, they posted her story on one of the many Facebook rescue pages, which was seen by one of our Board Members. We immediately put the wheels in motion to bring Phoenix home to us to allow her to heal.
If it had not been for the efforts of Cathy Phillips, the Story of Phoenix could have had a different ending. But, her diligence in trapping and holding Phoenix until a rescue could be secured paved the way for a whole new life for her. She now lives in a posh, upscale home where she is the center of attention and the whole world focuses around her.
Grass Roots Rescues like Cathy's play a huge role in local rescue. It's the connections that are made and the teamwork that gives these stories a happy ending.

Cathy is one of the most dedicated cat lovers I have ever met. She helped me out when I was in a real bind and saved the lives of innocent kittens.
I had been feeding and caring for a small group of cats at the radio station for several years. Most had already been spayed or neutered and the few that were not I managed to get them fixed. One morning two new cats showed up with 6 kittens! I was overwhelmed. I knew I needed to get these kittens out of the parking lot and get the mothers fixed. A friend suggested I contact Cathy The Cat Trapper, so I did. She was my angel. She came to the station over and over again until she not only got all of the kittens, but also got the two mothers so they could be spayed. I really don’t know what I would have done without her. She was so dedicated to helping these cats.
Cathy also got one of the adult cats adopted into a nice home. Also, one of the strays I had been feeding vanished. He showed up 5 months later with a terrible case of mange. I called Cathy and she got me medicine and told me just what to do. I was able to get him to my vet, he is now completely healed and sitting under my feet as I write this!
Cathy has my deepest appreciation for all of her help. If it were not for her, my story would have had a much different ending. Thank you Cathy!
